East Sussex Recovery provides 24/7 vehicle recovery, transport and breakdown services across the whole of the U.K. from our base in Crowborough, East Sussex.
Our services

When booking, customers are required to provide correct and complete information including:
- Vehicle make, model and registration
- Vehicle condition
- Exact location of the vehicle
- The type of service required
- Any modifications to the vehicle
- Whether there are any passengers or pets
- Contact information
The customer is responsible for providing correct and complete details about their vehicle and its condition. Failure to disclose necessary information may result in additional charges or refusal of service without a refund.
Pricing
East Sussex Recovery has a transparent pricing structure with no hidden fees. All prices are provided to the customer at quoting stage, prior to any work being undertaken.
Our list of charges includes:
- Minimum charge
- Mileage charge from our base to recovery location, then to delivery location
- Any additional services requested
- Storage of vehicle (24 hours free, £25 per day thereafter)
- Waiting time: the first 30 minutes on scene is free; extra time is billable at £25.00 per 15 minutes
Payment
We accept payments by cash, credit/debit card and bank transfer.
Payment is due at time of booking, unless other arrangements have been made.
Our driver will be dispatched once payment has been received.
Arrival & delivery
An ETA is an Expected Time of Arrival and is not guaranteed.
Any delay or inability to locate the vehicle due to inaccurate information provided by the customer may result in additional charges.
Where we are unable to deliver the vehicle due to inaccurate information, or because our vehicles cannot access the delivery location, we will deliver the vehicle to the nearest location that is safe to do so, or to another address specified by the customer. This may result in additional charges.
Vehicle handling
Our operators will take the utmost care handling your vehicle. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage or issues that become apparent during or after recovery.
It is the customer's duty to inspect their vehicle before and after the service is completed. Any concerns about damages must be reported to the driver or office immediately.
We will not be held responsible for any loss of parts or damage to vehicles that have been involved in an accident, whether caused during recovery, transportation or unloading.
We will not be held responsible for damage caused to vehicles from acts of God, i.e. bird strikes or extreme weather.
Delays
We shall not be liable for any delays caused by traffic, weather, accidents, road closures or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Vehicle capacity
Our recovery vehicles are designed for standard cars, vans, motorcycles and light commercials. We reserve the right to refuse recovery of vehicles that exceed our safe operating capacity.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, East Sussex Recovery shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, business or revenue
- Damage caused by pre-existing vehicle conditions
- Delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
- Personal belongings left in the vehicle
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for those services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Cancellations
Customer cancellation: If you need to cancel a service request, please notify us as soon as possible. A cancellation fee may apply if our recovery vehicle has already been dispatched.
Company cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel a service request if:
- We are unable to locate or deliver the vehicle due to inaccurate information
- The vehicle is unsafe or impossible to recover
- We suspect fraudulent activity
Insurance
East Sussex Recovery has fully comprehensive Public Liability, Employers Liability, Road Risks and Goods in Transit insurance policies.
